In this particular scenario, our client was seeking to establish a mobile development department and entrusted us with the crucial task of finding three skilled Android Developers.
Here are some requirements for the position:
- A minimum of three years of immersive experience with Kotlin and Java
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Excellent knowledge of principles of Android UX/UI and Material Design
- Experience with Git
- At least an upper-intermediate level of the English language.
When it came to candidate selection, our client had a specific requirement in mind that significantly limited the options: hands-on experience with point-of-sale (POS) payment terminals and an extensive background in the dynamic world of fintech.
After a comprehensive search, we were able to identify more than 130 candidates who could potentially meet the requirements.
From this impressive pool, we carefully selected seven candidates for technical interviews.
After conducting the interviews, three candidates were deemed suitable to proceed to the next stage, which involved a call with a team.
As a result of this rigorous selection process, our client was able to successfully hire three Android Developers in just three weeks.
