Partnership Goal

Our client, one of the world’s leading social and mobile game developers, asked us to find a candidate for the position of  HTML5/JavaScript Game Developer.

This position includes development and responsibility for building the current gaming platform using the most important technology – HTML5 for social browser games.

Here are some requirements for the position:

  • Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript game development, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript ES6+ to ensure up-to-date and efficient coding practices.
  • Proven experience in creating captivating games, showcasing creativity and innovation
  • Strong communication skills in English at an intermediate level to effectively collaborate with the team.
  • Ability to write well-commented and easy-to-understand code, ensuring code maintainability and readability.
  • A collaborative team player with an open-minded approach, contributing positively to the development process.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with React/PixiJS, which would provide an added advantage in game development.
Process and result

After reviewing the position requirements, we started searching for relevant candidates. Using our internal recruiting database and LinkedIn platform, we sent and found 400 potential candidates.

From this number of candidates, we selected the 6 most relevant and willing to start the recruitment process.

The first stage of the selection process was a technical interview.
At this stage, the candidates were tested on their JavaScript development skills, experience in game development, and their ability to work in a team.

Out of the 6 candidates who successfully passed the first stage, 3 were invited to an interview with the company’s CTO.
At this stage, the candidates were evaluated in terms of their understanding of the overall architecture of the projects, their ability to make decisions and solve complex problems.

The best candidate who passed all the stages was invited to the final conversation with HR, where the details of the contract, salary, working conditions were discussed and an official offer for the Middle HTML5/JavaScript position was made, which the candidate eventually accepted.

The candidate demonstrated sufficient experience in creating games in JavaScript, possessed modern development skills, and proved to be sociable and open to cooperation with colleagues.
His experience with React was also taken into account, which was an additional advantage.

After being hired, the candidate has successfully continued to work in the company for 2 years, showing professional growth and excellent results in his work.
He became a valuable asset to the development team and made a significant contribution to the development of the company’s projects.
