Our partner, a company that is among the TOP-5 largest furniture manufacturers in Ukraine, is currently looking for a Product Development Director.
The company is seeking a professional who will take ownership of the product portfolio development and directly influence the company’s profitability.
This role is designed for a leader who can transform product ideas into commercial results: build a strong assortment, launch new products and increase production margins.
Role Objective
Increase the company’s gross profit through the development of a competitive product portfolio, assortment optimization, and faster time-to-market for new products.
Role Challenges
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- increasing the margin of the current product portfolio
- reducing the product development and launch cycle
- strengthening the competitiveness of the product assortment
- building a systematic approach to managing the company’s product strategy
Main responsibilities:
- analyze profitability and performance of the current product portfolio
- develop and launch new products
- make decisions regarding SKU discontinuation, modernization, or expansion
- develop a product strategy for the next 1–3 years
- control margins of new products
- reduce the product development and time-to-market cycle
- optimize product design solutions and production cost
- ensure product competitiveness in the market
- effectively manage the product team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing a product portfolio
- proven experience in increasing product margin or profitability
- deep understanding of product economics
- experience launching new products
- experience managing a team
