Our partner, a rapidly growing international technology company, is looking for an MEP Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation AI and hyperscale data center infrastructure across Europe.

The company operates one of the world’s largest GPU-powered infrastructures, serving over 8 million users through 29 data centers across Europe and the Americas.

Together with leading partners, it is investing  in the development of a 300MW+ AI data center — one of Europe’s largest independent AI compute infrastructure projects.

About the role

The MEP Design Engineer is responsible for the design and technical development of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the company’s data centers running the most advanced AI hardware with direct liquid cooling (DLC).

The engineer ensures design solutions meet reliability requirements, target PUE metrics, certification standards, and applicable local regulatory requirements.

Main responsibilities:
  • Develop and review electrical distribution design (MV/LV distribution, UPS, diesel generators, BESS)
  • Design cooling systems: hybrid DLC/air cooling architecture, dry coolers, adiabatic coolers, chillers, water towers, CDUs
  • Coordinate modular POD architecture and its integration with MEP infrastructure
  • Develop gas fire suppression, ventilation, and OT-IT integration (BMS/DCIM) systems
  • Review design documentation from suppliers and partners, flag risks and discrepancies
  • Ensure design compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and maintain the Basis of Design document and technical specifications
  • Participate in tender processes and vendor proposal evaluation (generators, UPS, chillers, switchgear)
  • Coordinate with the IT Infrastructure team to align cooling and power requirements for AI GPU server deployment
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of MEP design experience for data centers or critical infrastructure facilities
  • Hands-on experience with Tier III/IV systems
  • Experience designing DLC systems and/or high-density liquid-cooled clusters
  • Knowledge of EU/Polish electrical and fire safety codes
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and engineering calculation software
  • English proficiency sufficient for international project documentation
