Our partner, an international IT company, is looking for a Cloud Engineer to help support and develop the infrastructure of their Data & Advanced Analytics Platform on Google Cloud.
The role combines hands-on Cloud / DevOps tasks with system administration, environment maintenance and operational support.
• Administer GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, IAM).
• Create, update and manage user accounts and access roles; monitor resources and quotas.
• Maintain dev, stage, and production environments and keep configurations up to date.
• Participate in CI/CD setup using Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy them to GKE.
• Set up monitoring, logging and backup processes (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring).
• Document infrastructure, access policies, and processes in Confluence.
• Support Data Engineers and DevOps with deploying data products and platform services.
• 1-5 years of experience as a Cloud, System, or DevOps Engineer / Administrator.
• Practical experience with GCP (Compute, Storage, IAM, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Terraform, and basic network security.
• Experience managing IAM / access policies.
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins)
• Basic Bash or Python scripting skills.
• English Intermediate+ level.
Nice to have:
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
• Familiarity with Airflow, DBT, Dataflow, Vertex AI.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, or Compliance.
• Experience with cost optimization and quota monitoring in GCP Billing
• Mentoring from senior Cloud / DevOps engineers.
• Work with a modern tech stack: GCP, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, BigQuery.
• Growth path toward Cloud or Data Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hybrid work model (Cyprus / remote).
• Training, certifications, and professional development.
